A, K, Q, J, 10 all of the same suit. The highest possible hand.

Five consecutive cards of the same suit.

Four cards of the same rank.

Three of a kind plus a pair.

Flush
Five cards of the same suit, not consecutive.

Straight
Five consecutive cards of mixed suits.

High Card
No other made hand; highest card plays.

Ace-low straight
A-2-3-4-5 is the lowest straight.

How Poker Hand Rankings Work
Poker hands are ranked using the strongest five-card combination. From highest to lowest, the order is Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Two Pair, One Pair, and High Card.
When players hold the same type of hand, compare the relevant ranked cards and then any kickers needed to break the tie. Suits are equal in standard poker, so no suit ranks above another.
